If approved by a referendum of the legally qualified voters of election districts 1, 2, 3, 3-1, 3-2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8-1, 8-2, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14-1, 14-2, and 16 in Garrett County, the legislation embodied in this Question, as passed by the General Assembly of Maryland at the 2008 Session, will allow the Sunday sale of alcoholic beverages in those 18 specified election districts (1) by holders of Class C service club licenses and (2) by holders of Class B (restaurants and hotels), special 2-day Class C (clubs and organizations) licenses, special 6-day Class C licenses, and special 12-day Class C licenses, but only if the consumer at the licensed facility places an order for a meal or is otherwise entitled to a meal on the premises as part of a prearranged event, such as a banquet. If this Question receives a majority of votes cast in any of the 18 election districts specified above, it will take effect in those election districts on December 15, 2008.
